Superintendent, Concrete / Formwork | Subcontractor | Vancouver BC – Outpost Recruitment

Formwork contractor seeking experienced and business-minded Superintendent for large RC-frame mixed use projects in Vancouver. Salary $130,000 – $160,000. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.

The Superintendent is an integral member of the project team. Responsible for delivering construction projects of varying size and complexity. Focusing on structural works including formwork, concrete foundations and suspended slabs, rebar and architectural structures etc.

Duties & Responsibilities of Superintendent:

Qualifications of Superintendent:

• Engineering or Project/Construction degree, relevant experience
• The Superintendent will have 7+ years of experience supporting the delivery of projects, at least 2-years of experience in Canada
• Concrete forming/placement experience required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of products
• Familiarity with construction methods and the building codes
• Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
• Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills

Management Expectations:

• The Superintendent is willing to take part in additional specialty training for tools, equipment, instruments, and safety.
• Keen to take on responsibility and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner.
• Clearly understand the job description and perform their responsibilities adequately.
